Caregiver - Full Time, Part Time, and PRN Shifts
Join our growing team at Century Park Associates. We offer shift differentials for evening and NOC shifts. No experience necessary; we provide on-the-job training. All shifts are available for the right candidates.
Position Summary
The Resident Assistant/Care Aide delivers quality assisted living services focused on maximizing residents' individual capabilities, in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Century Park standards. Reports to the Resident Care Director.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year experience in senior services preferred
- State Trained Nursing Assistant certification (if required by State)
- CNA certification or Home Health Aide certification preferred
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as per care plan (e.g., dressing, toileting, hair care, bathing)
- Read 24-hour log at the beginning of each shift
- Perform routine rounds and check on residents to ensure care needs are met
- Assist residents with clothing choices suitable for weather, ensuring clothes are clean and stain-free
- Assist incontinent residents, checking clothing and linens to keep residents clean and dry
- Help residents with ambulation and use of mobility aids
- Assist during meal times in the dining area
- Encourage participation in activities
- Shampoo hair weekly if not done by beautician
- Make beds daily and perform light housekeeping in resident apartments and common areas
- Prepare residents for activities, meals, and appointments
- Deliver meals and assist with setup or feeding as needed
- Verify residents' presence at meals and check on absentees unless notified otherwise
- Report changes in resident conditions to Nurse, Resident Care Director, or Executive Director
- Welcome new residents and assist with their adjustment
- Assist residents with packing/unpacking, labeling, and inventory of belongings upon move-in
- Follow infection control guidelines

- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary
- Work efficiently with little to no supervision
- Maintain professional relationships with all staff and vendors
- Keep all proprietary and confidential information secure
- Adhere to Century Park’s Code of Ethics and complete required compliance training
