JOB SUMMARY
The Resident Assistant is responsible for the basic resident care provision and promotion of non-acute quality care to the population of the community based residential facility (CBRF) as outlined in Individual Service Plan designed to meet the needs of our residents, and in a manner that follows accepted standards of practices, policies, procedures, and State Regulations. The Resident Assistant will follow all policies/procedures and nursing standards under the supervision of the RN, LPN, and CNA.
WORK SHIFT
7.5 hour shifts Mon-Fri, 2:30pm to 10:30pm, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: be at least 18 years of age.
CBRF required training per DHS 83.20 approved training within 90 days of employment:
Preferred/Optional: CBRF required training per DHS 83.20 approved training at the time of hire.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: Previous health care experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Wisconsin Community Based Care and Treatment Training Registry within three months of hire or EMT certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin.
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire. Wisconsin Community Based Care and Treatment Training Registry at time of hire.
