Job Description

Under the supervision of a Team Leader, the Resident Assistant assists residents who need 24-hour supervision and have mental illness. The role involves helping residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence, and ensuring safety. Responsibilities include:

  • Holding all 4 Wisconsin CBRF certificates: First Aid and Choking, Fire Safety, Medication Administration, and Standard Precautions.
  • Passing medications correctly within scope of practice.
  • Assisting residents with laundry, cooking, cleaning, and activities as scheduled.
  • Engaging residents in activities and ensuring their safety and security.
  • Supporting residents in appointments and encouraging open communication.
  • Working collaboratively with staff to ensure resident well-being.
