Resident Assistant - Caregiver 11p-7a (Healthcare)

The Resident Assistant / Caregiver will provide quality care and assistance to residents in accordance with the residence philosophy, policies, and resident rights. Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting residents in meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  2. Adhering to each resident's individual service plan and notifying the Resident Services Director and Wellness Nurse of any changes in the residents' condition.
  3. Responding immediately to resident calls and assisting with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
  4. Checking on residents every two hours, documenting, and reporting findings.
  5. Encouraging residents to participate in activities and attend meals, assisting with meal service and dietary needs.
  6. Cleaning dining areas and residents' rooms/apartments, and assisting with residents' personal laundry.
  7. Establishing and maintaining good relationships with residents and their families.
  8. Disposing of incontinent products according to OSHA regulations and residence policies.
  9. Practicing proper body mechanics, following safety guidelines, and responding to emergencies appropriately.
  10. Promoting resident independence, dignity, and rights, and supporting individual choices.
  11. Carrying out all duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Communications

The Resident Assistant / Caregiver will attend all staff meetings and training sessions, communicate resident information effectively to team members, and notify supervisors or the wellness nurse of any changes or concerns regarding residents' conditions or family inquiries.
