Job summary

EverTrue is seeking compassionate nursing aides to provide supportive and functional care for residents, ensuring they stay as the director of their own care. Perform daily living activities, observe health status, and document vital signs under nursing leadership within EverTrue policies and state regulations.

Responsibilities include assisting with dining, mobility, care planning, and safety procedures. This role requires patience, basic computer use, and strong communication with residents

Qualifications

• Previous resident/patient care experience preferred.
• High School diploma, GED, or PA nurse aide registry required (PA).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Supports residents in attaining and/or maintaining their highest practicable level of functioning by providing and/or assisting residents with personal care and performance of all routine activities of daily living.
• Provides care and services in accordance to current standards of practice as defined by training standards and EverTrue Clinical Policies and Procedures.
• Maintains the appropriate resident care environment and responds to resident requests for assistance in a timely manner.
• Follows all safety procedures and protocol as dictated by EverTrue policy, federal and state regulations and standard nursing practice and reports all hazardous conditions, defective equipment and accidents or incidents to their nursing leader immediately.
• Performs and provides proper resident observations and record keeping; Functions as the resident’s advocate, participates in care planning and communicates to their nursing leader and interdisciplinary team any changes observed.
• May be instructed to assist and escort residents to/from dining room and in-house activities; monitor residents in the dining room at mealtimes.
• May be assigned the responsibility of documenting residents’ vital signs including blood pressure, temperature respiration, weight checks, and other pertinent information.
• If working in the state of Pennsylvania, may be assigned to serve as the administrator designee in the absence of the PC/AL Clinical director; Evaluates immediate circumstances and contacts highest level of authority to discuss next steps.
