Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Resident Assistant for flexible scheduling across local facilities. Work may be in Bowler or Shawano and includes per diem, contract, temp-to-hire, or direct-hire opportunities.

You will join a care team to support residents’ daily needs and safety with a compassionate approach. You should have a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification for patient care is required.
• Compliance training to work in long-term care is required or provided by Interim.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist patients safely.
• Good communication and a compassionate, dependable nature.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily personal care needs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with feeding and nutritional intake.
• Perform light tasks related to ambulation, repositioning, and safety.
• Take vitals, monitor health indicators, and report changes in condition.
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, physicians and other aides; observe patients and notify staff of concerns.

What You'll Do

• Assist residents and patients with daily personal care needs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Support patients with feeding and nutritional intake
• Perform light tasks related to ambulation, repositioning, and safety
• Take vitals, monitor basic health indicators, and report changes in condition
• Work as part of a care team that may include RNs, LPNs, physicians, and other aides
• Observe patients and notify appropriate staff of any care or behavioral concerns

What You Need

• CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Required compliance training to work in long-term care and assisted living (can be provided by Interim)
