Job Description

As a Resident Caregiver, your responsibilities include the overall care and wellbeing of each resident. You should have an understanding of assisted living operations, including regulatory compliance, and demonstrate a passion for working with seniors by leading by example.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting, transferring, and ambulation.
  • Encourage resident participation in exercise and community activities.
  • Assist with meal service and dining room setup, and help during mealtimes.
  • Maintain safety procedures and report accidents or injuries.
  • Complete all required training and orientation.
  • Report changes in residents' health status to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain necessary certifications.
  • Attend to additional duties as assigned.
Communication and Administrative Duties
  • Review and document daily logs and resident records.
  • Complete scheduled assignments and documentation accurately.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Six months of long-term care experience is preferred. Must pass a drug test and background check. Skills include organization, compassion, flexibility, good judgment, and communication skills.
