Job Description Resident Aide (PRN)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our memory care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with memory impairments. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting residents with their daily activities.

Duties

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Engage residents in social activities and promote community involvement to enhance their well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Lift and transfer residents safely using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with team members regarding resident needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in memory care preferred.
• Knowledge of caregiving practices, including first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist residents in mobility as needed.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the facility's schedule.
