Job summary

Great Lakes Management Company is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant for our Sun Prairie location. The role involves hands-on care and support for residents in the Assisted Living unit, including assistance with daily activities and participation in dining and social activities.

Ideal candidates will have six months of experience in long-term care or assisted living, with preferred certification as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, or CNA.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long-term care or assisted living (preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated in the service agreement.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe changes in clients and report to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete daily documentation like service schedules and flow sheets.

Resident Assistant Job Details:

• Hours - 6am-2pm
• Pay Range - $18-22 per hour
• Location - Talamore Sun Prairie - Primarily working as a float in our Assisted Living Unit

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident's service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilites:

• Assist residents with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to the case manager.
• Interactwith residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Qualifications:

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interests.
