Job summary

The Gallery at Broomfield is seeking a compassionate caregiver to assist residents at Clayton Oaks Living, an assisted living community with memory care. The role involves helping with daily activities, meals, social activities, and maintaining resident records.

Applicants should have 6 months to 1 year of resident care experience, strong communication skills, and an understanding of HIPAA. Weekend and holiday availability is required, with PRN shifts and variable hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, while encouraging independence.
• Serve meals in the dining room or residents’ apartments, assist in meal preparation, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and build friendships.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, performing general housekeeping duties.
• Respond quickly to resident requests and emergencies, including call pendants and telephone calls.
• Know each resident’s location, remind them to sign out when leaving, and report if a resident cannot be located.
• Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.

Location: Clayton Oaks Living, an Assisted Living senior community with Memory Care

Shifts Available: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am| 4 on 2 off rotation

PRN Shifts Available

Must be available to work weekends and holidays

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
