Job summary

Ecumen Pathstone in Mankato, MN is hiring a Resident Assistant to support residents with daily living activities and health-related services on a full-time schedule. The role includes morning/evening care, monitor changes, and collaborate with the care team.

Pay ranges from $19.00 to $22.00 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, vision, FSAs/HSA options, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and a 6% 401(k) match. Onsite training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility (HIPAA, etc.).
• Preferred CNA and/or Home Health Aide certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities (dressing, bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, mobility, transferring).
• Provide morning and evening care, including oral hygiene and incontinence care.
• Assist with use of assistive devices (glasses, hearing aids).
• Administer medications and treatments as delegated by RN or Clinical Director.

The Resident Assistant / Caregiver is responsible for providing personal care and delegated health-related services designed to maintain the resident's physical and emotional well-being. This position is responsible for following the service schedule for each resident and correctly documents services provided.There is no experience or certification needed for this position! • Full-Time
• Shifts: 2:00pm-10:15pm or 10:00pm-6:15am
• Position will work various weekdays, every other weekend & rotating holidays.

Pay:

• The targeted pay range for this job is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily activities like dressing, bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, mobility, and transferring.
• Provide morning and evening care, including oral hygiene and incontinence care.
• Help with use of assistive devices such as glasses and hearing aids.
• Administer medications and treatments as delegated by the RN or Clinical Director.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.
• Encourage resident independence by offering choices and promoting self-care.
• Collaborate with team members in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
• Complete light cleaning tasks and support resident activities.
• Respond promptly to safety hazards, call lights, and team needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Previous experience with working with seniors
• Certified Nursing Assistant CNA and/or Home Health Aide
