Job summary

Royale Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass, OR is seeking a Resident Assistant for an on-site, full-time role. The position offers a pay rate of $18.00 per hour and requires a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

You will help with daily resident care, companionship, and activities within a warm, resident-centered environment. This role supports residents’ well-being and daily routines, while coordinating with nursing staff for clinical needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Enjoys working with seniors and long-term care residents.
• Can work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed.
• Can perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Maintains a positive attitude and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care setup, grooming, and daily routines.
• Escort residents to meals, activities, and appointments within the facility.
• Provide companionship through conversation, reading, games, and social engagement.
• Support activity participation and encourage resident independence.
• Respond to call lights by notifying nursing staff when clinical assistance is needed.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and comfortable resident rooms and common areas.
• Assist with meal service, snack delivery, dining room setup, and cleanup.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain sanitary conditions throughout the facility.
• Monitor residents and report changes or concerns to the nursing team.
• Follow infection control, safety, HIPAA, and resident rights policies at all times.

What You'll Do

Please note: This position does not provide hands-on clinical care or resident transfers. Clinical needs are referred to licensed nursing staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare
• Food Handler's Permit or ServSafe Certification
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
