Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring a Resident Assistant in Appleton, Wisconsin to care for residents and assist with daily living activities. The RA will provide basic care, support meals, and help with recreational activities for a compassionate, team-oriented team.

Experience in long-term care is preferred, and CNA or STNA certification plus CPR/First Aid are required. Full- or part-time shifts are available, including days, evenings, and nights.

Qualifications

• Experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting.
• Current Nursing Assistant certification (CNA) or State Trained Nursing Assistant per state rules.
• CPR/First Aid certification maintained per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic resident care, including personal hygiene, dressing, and activities of daily living.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry and meal services to residents.
• Support residents with social and recreational activities and mobility.
• Collaborate with the nursing department and other staff to ensure resident well-being.

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring for a Resident Assistant to be responsible for providing basic care to residents and assisting them in daily living activities. The Resident Assistant (RA) must possess excellent people skills and the ability to be compassionate and enjoy helping others. The RA provides care to residents which may include personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, meal services and other duties and services as assigned within the community. The RA collaborates and assists in supporting the entire nursing department, other departments, medical professionals, consultants, residents and families in an efficient and economic manner to enable each resident to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant dependent upon state regulations
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
