Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring for a Resident Assistant to provide compassionate basic care to residents and assist them in daily living activities. The RA must be capable of supporting the nursing team and engaging residents in daily living tasks within our community.

The position requires a caring, patient approach and the ability to work with families, staff, and medical professionals to ensure residents’ physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred.
• Current Nursing Assistant certification (state regulations) required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and dementias preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Weekend and holiday shifts on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic resident care including personal hygiene, dressing, and daily living activities.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and meal services.
• Support social and recreational activities to enhance residents’ well-being.
• Collaborate with nursing and other staff to coordinate care and communicate with families.

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring for a Resident Assistant to be responsible for providing basic care to residents and assisting them in daily living activities. The Resident Assistant (RA) must possess excellent people skills and the ability to be compassionate and enjoy helping others. The RA provides care to residents which may include personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, meal services and other duties and services as assigned within the community. The RA collaborates and assists in supporting the entire nursing department, other departments, medical professionals, consultants, residents and families in an efficient and economic manner to enable each resident to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant dependent upon state regulations
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
