The Ely Manor Admissions Coordinator at Ciena Healthcare in Michigan supports the daily operations of the admissions office and assists patients transitioning from hospital or community settings. You will work with clinical and administrative staff to determine level of care and ensure a smooth admission process.

Responsibilities include screening potential residents, coordinating room assignments, obtaining necessary documentation, and maintaining census reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; a 4-year degree is preferred.
• At least one year of healthcare, sales/marketing, or insurance experience.
• Familiar with medical terminology.
• Experience with AI-driven software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives resident referrals via fax, phone, or internet and follows Admissions process.
• Completes bedhold calls on all hospitalized guests and coordinates admissions.
• Conducts facility tours for potential residents and families; ensures information is available for others.
• Performs admission screening to determine level of care, services, equipment needs, and insurance coverage.
• Obtains prior approval authorization numbers from payers on a per-case basis when applicable.
• Helps coordinate services with clinical staff prior to admission and welcomes residents and families upon admission.
