Aria of Waukesha is seeking an Activity Assistant to help empower residents and support their independence within a compassionate care team.

This full-time role in Wisconsin requires 9:30am–6pm weekdays with every-other weekend, paying $13–$14 per hour. You will work under the Activity Director to organize and lead engaging activities that promote well-being and social connection for residents.

Responsibilities

• The Activity Assistant will work under supervision to organize, direct and execute a well-balanced activity program.
• Daily visitation on a one-to-one basis for residents in the One to One program.
• Selection of appropriate programs for residents (crafts, games, service projects, intellectual activities).
• Balance of small, medium and large group activities across floors and central activity room.
• Balance of recreational, religious service and community-oriented programs.
• Daily group exercise on floors where feasible and individual exercises when needed.
• Leadership of evening and weekend programs under the Activity Director.
• Daily recording of resident participation and quarterly progress charting.
• Participation in goal-setting for residents with departments, nursing and dietary.
• Attendance at in-service classes and workshops; participate in conferences as directed.
• Contacting new residents to familiarize them with activities.
• Assist in forming monthly activity schedules and evaluating programs.
• Prepare materials and supplies for daily programs and notify about future needs.
• Coordinate goals and schedules to avoid clashes with other departments.
