Job summary

Homestead of El Dorado is seeking an Activities Assistant to implement a structured activity program that supports residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial needs. The role involves planning, documenting, and coordinating group and individual activities while adhering to safety and privacy standards.

You will maintain calendars, perform assessments, post information on boards, and ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations, including infection control and fire safety.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Implement activity programs to meet residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.
• Comply with community policies and procedures.
• Report abuse/neglect immediately to supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and family information.
• Plan and implement activities for groups and individuals.
• Maintain documentation per state and federal regulations.
• Initial assessment, picture and front name board.
• Create monthly activity calendars and post updates on boards; distribute name tags.
• Monitor compliance with regulations including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, hazardous materials, and fire safety.
• Monitor Residents’ Rights compliance.
