Job summary

The Entertainment Community Fund is seeking an Activities Coordinator for The Schermerhorn in Brooklyn, NY. This full-time position involves developing and facilitating activities for residents, particularly those with special needs, to promote socialization and wellness.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree and have experience in activities or education programs. The position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including health plans, dental, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• One to three years demonstrated experience in activities and/or education programs.
• Experience working with special needs populations.
• Ability to stand for several hours and lift up to 30lbs.

Responsibilities

• Develop therapeutic activities for residents based on their interests.
• Maintain a regular activities schedule and monthly calendar.
• Support Manager in operations of the onsite performance venue.

Skills

Experience in activities and/or education programs

Working with special needs populations

Proficiency in MS Office

Excellent written and verbal communication

Education
