Job summary

Phoenix Senior Living in Milton, GA is seeking an Assistant Program and Outreach Director (Activities Assistant) to support daily resident-centered activities and wellness initiatives aligned with our philosophy.

The role involves leading activities, coordinating with care teams, and engaging residents across emotional, social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions. Weekend work may be required; HS diploma preferred with relevant senior living experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; job-related experience in senior living preferred.
• Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers for social events and activities.
• Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living and Dementia care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Refer to the Resident Profile and addendum for every new resident.
• Facilitate a variety of activities incorporating all dimensions of wellness with staff participation.
• Recognize changes in resident condition and take appropriate action.
• Assist residents to and from activity rooms when needed.
• In memory care, assist residents to Life Skills and other activities and help with engagement.
• Review and document pertinent information and changes in residents’ physical/behavioral status in logs.
• Maintain activity areas in an orderly manner.
• Assist with delegation of daily care for animals/plants in activities and maintain related records.
• Maintain inventory of activity supplies, games, programs and crafts.
