Job summary

Pavilion Ottawa is seeking a Recreational Services Aide to join our team. The role supports planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, physical, emotional and psychosocial programs aligned with each resident’s care plan.

Under supervision, you will assist residents in attending activities, communicate with families, and contribute to assessments. A high school diploma and healthcare exposure help ensure success in this caring environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for leading groups in activities.
• Ability to relate positively with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Implements activity programming to meet residents' needs and interests.
• Assists residents to and from activities and outings.
• Maintains rapport with family members and supports family involvement.
• Provides input to assessment and evaluation of resident participation.
• Communicates resident concerns and responses to interventions to supervisor.
• Supports residents' individual needs, preferences, routines.
