Job summary

Sunnyside Manor in Wall Township, New Jersey, is seeking an Activities Aide to assist in delivering engaging programs for residents. You will support daily activities, lead group programs, escort residents, and provide one-on-one engagement to enhance physical, social, and emotional well-being.

The role involves assisting with event setup, transportation, and documenting participation, while collaborating with the Activities team to ensure safety and positive experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Friendly, energetic, empathetic, and compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out daily activities according to the community calendar.
• Help lead group programs and provide one-on-one engagement for residents.
• Support setup, execution, and cleanup of activities, parties, socials, and events.
• Transport or escort residents to activities and provide companionship visits.
• Observe participation and report changes to the supervisor; provide feedback to improve events.
• Assist with documenting participation and report medical concerns promptly.
• Maintain and organize supplies, decorations, and equipment.
• Cover breaks or provide activity coverage in neighborhoods as assigned.
