Job summary

GROVES is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a creative activities program for residents. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate standards and focuses on meeting residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.

The candidate will help plan calendars, coordinate transportation, and foster resident participation in activities while maintaining documentation and assessments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct activities for individuals, small groups, and large groups.
• Assist in communication between staff, residents, families, and the public.
• Develop monthly activity calendars and maintain attendance records.
• Assist in assessing resident needs and developing activity care plans.
• Assist with transportation arrangements for residents when needed.
• Encourage participation in self-initiated activities and hobbies.
