Job summary

Majestic Care of Sagamore Hills is seeking an Activity Director to lead a holistic activity therapy program for a diverse resident population. The role focuses on assessing resident abilities, aligning activities with interests, and documenting outcomes for care plans.

The position involves coordinating speakers, arranging off-site trips when appropriate, and collaborating with the Social Service Director to involve families. Management responsibilities and budget oversight are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Activity Director in the state employed.
• Two years of experience in social or recreational programming.
• Experience in management duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessment for each resident to determine level of abilities.
• Develop an individualized program of activity pursuits that are meaningful to the resident.
• Complete MDS, RAPS in a timely manner, utilizing observation and assessment/monitoring tools.
• Document resident response to care plans and evaluate activity care plans for effectiveness.
• Develop and utilize a budget to maintain equipment and purchase supplies.
