Maple Crest Health Center in Omaha is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and lead daily recreational, social, and wellness programs for residents. You will work with the Director of Activities to tailor activities to residents' needs and coordinate efforts with the care team.

You will escort residents to events, maintain calendars, and build meaningful relationships with residents and families. This role requires strong communication and adherence to safety standards in a supportive,

Qualifications

• Active Nebraska CNA license.
• At least 18 years old.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to document care, coordinate with the care team, and communicate with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily recreational, social, and wellness programs for residents with the Director of Activities.
• Encourage residents to join activities that fit their cognitive, physical, and emotional needs.
• Escort residents to appointments, outings, church services, and special events.
• Keep activity calendars, bulletin boards, and supplies organized and current.
• Build relationships with residents and families, and bring their interests into activity planning.
• Watch for changes in participation or wellbeing and report them to the Director or nursing staff.
• Follow safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards.
