Job summary

Valley View Care Center is seeking a dedicated individual to support the Activity Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing activity and recreational services tailored to residents’ needs and interests. We value high energy and a fun, engaging approach with our residents.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with Activities Certification preferred, and prior long-term care or social/recreational program experience highly desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Activities Certification preferred.
• One year of experience in long-term care would be beneficial.
• One year of experience conducting social/recreational programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and delivering activity/recreational programs to promote residents' engagement and functioning.
• Encourage participation in group and individual activities (arts/crafts, outings, religious, educational, community service).
• Assist with activity documentation as trained and per regulatory requirements and policies.
• Submit supplies list and receipts for activity expenditures.
