Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement board policy, state law, and district procedures related to student enrollment, registration, residency, and re-registration.
  • Serve as primary contact for prospective and newly enrolled families throughout enrollment and onboarding.
  • Proactively follow up with incomplete applications, withdrawn students, and families who do not complete enrollment.
  • Support onboarding by coordinating transitions, records, documentation, and first-30-day follow-up communication.
  • Visit school buildings to support welcoming and onboarding of new families.
  • Coordinate and support district open houses, school tours, welcome events, and enrollment outreach.
  • Collaborate with administrators and staff to ensure consistent enrollment procedures and family communication across buildings.
  • Track and monitor enrollment inquiries, applications, registrations, withdrawals, and trends.
  • Maintain enrollment data, reports, dashboards, and related records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Identify barriers, recommend improvements, and standardize enrollment practices across the district.
  • Audit residency records for compliance, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Provide enrollment, residency, and related reports to district administration.
  • Coordinate residency verification procedures per policy and law.
  • Coordinate re-registration procedures for currently enrolled families.
  • Conduct residency interviews and review documentation for eligibility.
  • Follow up on residency inquiries and related concerns.
  • Review city records and documentation to verify residency status.
  • Coordinate with administration and outside agencies on residency cases.
  • Maintain residency case files and documentation of findings and outcomes.
  • Recommend cases for formal investigation when appropriate.
  • Participate in residency appeal proceedings and provide testimony as needed.
  • Work with district legal counsel on residency matters, hearings, and compliance.

  • Maintain enrollment data, reports, dashboards, and related records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Identify enrollment process barriers, recommend procedural improvements, and assist in standardizing enrollment practices across the district.
  • Audit enrollment and residency records to ensure compliance, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Provide enrollment, residency, and related reports as requested by district administration.
Residency Compliance & Investigations
  • Coordinate residency verification procedures in compliance with Board policy and applicable law.
  • Coordinate re-registration procedures and verification samples for currently enrolled families.
  • Conduct residency interviews and review supporting documentation to determine residency eligibility.
  • Follow up on residency inquiries, anonymous tips, expired leases, rental agreements, landlord affidavits, and related concerns.
  • Review city records, databases, and other available documentation to verify residency status.
  • Coordinate with administration and outside investigation agencies regarding residency verification cases.
  • Maintain organized residency case files, investigation records, and documentation regarding findings, removals, and outcomes.
  • Recommend cases for formal investigation as appropriate.
  • Participate in residency appeal proceedings and provide testimony or supporting documentation as needed.
  • Work closely with district legal counsel and administration regarding residency matters, hearings, and compliance issues.
Compliance & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with district homeless liaison to coordinate district compliance with McKinney-Vento requirements and federal homeless regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with city officials, school administrators, and outside agencies regarding residency and enrollment matters.
  • Assist with responses to residency-related Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests in coordination with district administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive student and family information.
Communication & Professional Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately with families, staff, and community members.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Prepare clear, concise written communication, case summaries, and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent.
