Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a dedicated Residence Manager to oversee daily operations in a NY residence serving individuals with developmental disabilities. You will supervise staff, ensure program and clinical plans are implemented, and coordinate meals, medical needs, and community activities.

The role requires a driving license, knowledge of OPWDD regulations, and ability to train staff while maintaining strict documentation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Valid NYS driver's license required.
• Experience with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injuries preferred.
• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and Justice Center requirements.
• Emergency response skills and certifications (AMAP, CPR, First Aid, SCIP-R) required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure people supported receive care per Circle of Support plans and Life plans.
• Monitor and support implementation of program plans and behavior strategies.
• Ensure each person has at least three community inclusion activities weekly.
• Create and maintain recreation calendar.
• Monitor diet, nutrition, menus, and dietary compliance.
• Coordinate medical needs with healthcare providers and document appropriately.
• Supervise DSPs, observe on-floor, provide feedback.
• Fill scheduling gaps and assist with staff scheduling.
• Conduct and document staff performance evaluations.
• Train new staff and temporary employees; document training.
• Weekly supervision with full-time staff; complete end-of-shift reports.
• Ensure incident reporting per OPWDD standards; maintain documents.
• Upload receipts and manage food/supply orders; budget adherence.
• Conduct weekly facility walkthroughs and document findings.
• Maintain Fire Safety Book and training/maintenance docs.
• Schedule and oversee van maintenance; ensure inspections.
• Provide behavioral & clinical support as needed.
• Be familiar with behavior plans and model implementation.
• Review data and logs before shifts end; ensure EHR procedures followed.
• Participate in clinical team meetings to monitor progress.
• Act as Residence Manager in absence; ensure continuity and compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
