Reporting Relationships: Residence Manager report to the Program Director

Position Summary: Works within the guidelines of AAPCI and carries out its functions, policies and procedures; observing the schedules in the center and adhering to its established personnel policies and practices.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Program Director, the House Manager is expected to perform the following principal duties and responsibilities.

  • Ensure front desk coverage.
  • Patrol premises to prevent intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates of every floor.
  • Conduct hourly rounds to ensure that tenants and employees and visitors have a safe and pleasant experience.
  • Conduct perimeter checks as necessary.
  • While making hourly rounds, check every floor and make sure that the premises is safe.
  • Also check stairwells, fire exits, mechanical room, fire extinguishers and pull boxes and report problems to the Facilities Manager or Social Service Director when Facilities Manager not available.
  • Staff desk at entrance reception when not back rounds and authorize entrance and departure of employees, tenants, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Make sure that all visitors' sign in the visitor's log sheet and maintain a shift log.
  • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Call police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Ensure necessary signage in the event of an emergency and participation in site fire and emergency drills.
  • Establish protocol and role responsibility in conjunction with Security officer
  • Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property (As circumstance and situations require).

Minimal Qualifications

Degree Requirement: High School diploma or equivalency and at least 21 years of age.

Knowledgeable and trained on Fire Panel use.

Valid Certified Fire Safety Coordinator License (F80, S95) with at least one (1) year experience in the policy of security field

Knowledgeable with working with special needs client populations.

Other Qualifications

  • Must have practical experiences or formal education on the skills and knowledge in human services,
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, follow detailed procedures, and have good customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work collegially and independent of intensive supervision.
  • Evenings and weekends may be required

Compensation And Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of New York State and City pay transparency laws. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individuals’ competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience and performance in the role.

Compensation

The base salary compensation being offered for this role is $49,995.
