Texas Wesleyan University is seeking a Resident Assistant (RA) to support a safe, inclusive living-learning community in campus housing. You will mentor residents, foster belonging through activities, and help enforce campus policies while partnering with Residence Life staff to promote student success.

Responsibilities include building community, resolving conflicts, documenting incidents, responding to emergencies, and participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

  • Must be a current, full-time Texas Wesleyan University student at the time of application.
  • GPA requirements: cumulative and semester GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Respect privacy and FERPA regulations in handling student information.

Responsibilities

  • Build a sense of community among residents through activities and programming.
  • Mentor residents and provide guidance in academic, personal, and social matters.
  • Address conflicts and mediate disputes within the residence hall.
  • Enforce university policies related to safety, conduct, and community standards.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies following established protocols.
  • Complete administrative tasks and document incidents as required.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.
