Job summary

Elizabethtown College is seeking a Residence Hall Director to lead and oversee a neighborhood of on-campus residential communities, ensuring a healthy and vibrant living environment. This full-time, on-campus role requires supervision of student staff and collaboration with Facilities and Campus Safety.

The position is 12-month, live-on campus with nights and weekends as needed, and requires the ability to work extended hours and manage on-call duties in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; plus two years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Reside in assigned college-owned housing.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student staff.
• Assist with recruitment, selection, and training of student leaders.
• Supervise through weekly meetings and coaching.
• Oversee housing coordination, assignments, and facilities.
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency protocols.
• Enforce College policies and supervise wellness and conduct processes.
• Engage in campus events and collaboration with other departments.
