Job description

The University of Saint Francis is excited to announce the search for our next Residence Hall Director.

The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Residence Hall Director. Saint Francis is a Catholic, Franciscan university in the liberal arts tradition. The Residence Hall Director will report to the Director of Residential Life and the Assistant Dean of Students, overseeing Padua Hall and Trinity Hall. The role involves ensuring that the university’s Catholic identity, Franciscan charism, and commitment to the liberal arts remain central to its educational mission and public identity.

The Resident Hall Director is responsible for assisting in implementing the university’s new mission statement and strategic plan. The successful candidate will promote a positive residence hall environment aligned with the mission, emphasizing integrity, compassion, humility, community engagement, personal and spiritual development, and academic success. They will also foster a Catholic culture in the residence halls that is faith-filled, safe, welcoming, and conducive to the formation of the whole person.

The cover letter should address the responsibilities, qualifications, experience, and how the applicant will advance the Catholic, Franciscan Mission of the University. Finalists may need to provide official transcripts.
