## Residence CoordinatorApply: On Campus: RIT Main Location: Full time: Posted 30+ Days Ago: JR101025**Essential Duties & Responsibilities*** Manages a university residential community including the selection, training and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students assigned to the residence* Provides leadership and guidance for business operation processes such as facilities opening and closing procedures, facilities management, and related areas* Develops and implements educational and cultural programs, services, and activities in the residential community, with a focus on the principles of community development, student engagement, wellness, diversity, inclusion, and retention* Ensures budgeting, personnel matters, and reporting are managed in accordance with university, state, and federal guidelines, regulations, procedures, and policies* Oversees the response to, resolution of, and decision-making for matters of significance such as emergency housing, involvement of other offices, parental contact, etc* Meets with students to resolve complex issues, makes referrals, and conducts follow-up as needed in areas including, but not limited to: social skill development, personal safety, conflict resolution, understanding of university policy and procedures, and academic success* Other duties as assigned **Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities*** Knowledge of student development theories and practices* Knowledge of crisis management/conflict resolution* Skill in advising and coaching* Skill in using technology and systems to support administrative, operation and program functions* Ability to manage and maintain confidential and private information; use confidential, sensitive and/or private records and information, and protect information appropriately* Ability to establish, build and maintain effective working relationships based on respect, empathy and honesty with diverse groups and individuals **Minimum Education & Experience*** Master's degree in related field* 1 year of relevant experience **Job Level Overview**Specialized Contributor Level 2 - A fully functional role requiring established knowledge of the profession or field of work.
