Job summary

EOG Resources, Inc. in Houston is seeking a Reservoir Engineering Advisor to join the Corporate Reserve team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation in reservoir engineering, a working knowledge of commercial oil and gas economics software, and the ability to integrate multidisciplinary data to optimize asset performance. The role requires initiative, precision, and the ability to communicate complex findings to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
  • 7+ years in oil & gas with at least 3 years in reservoir engineering.
  • Experience with ARIES and ComboCurve; reservoir simulation and PVT analysis.
  • Ability to integrate geology, geophysics, and petrophysics data.

Responsibilities

  • SEC reserves estimation and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and present material for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary asset teams for accurate forecasting of volumes and economics.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline workflows and implement solutions to boost productivity.
  • Track and communicate performance metrics to support decisions.
  • Identify and prioritize technical projects for asset optimization.
  • Perform reservoir analyses including decline curve, material balance, volumetrics, PTA, and Nodal analyses.
  • Contribute to reservoir simulations and PVT analyses as needed.
  • Prepare and present reserve reports and findings to senior management.
