Job summary

The U.S. Army is seeking an Army Occupational Medicine Officer to promote the health and wellness of Soldiers and civilian personnel. You will determine health risk factors and lead occupational health programs across diverse settings in the U.S. and overseas.

Active Duty or Army Reserve options, board eligibility, and US medical licensure are required. The role offers leadership training, humanitarian opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from an accredited US school.
• Foreign graduates may apply with a permanent certificate from ECFMG.
• Must hold a license to practice medicine in the US, DC or PR.
• Must be eligible for board certification.
• Must be 21–42 years old.
• Must be a US citizen for Active Duty.
• Permanent US residency required for Army Reserve.

• Plan, coordinate, direct, and supervise occupational health programs.
• Maintain health, improve fitness, and prevent disease and injury across the force.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. School
• Foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates
• Must have license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
• Must have eligibility for board certification
• Must be between 21 and 42 years of age
• Must be a U.S. citizen for Active Duty
• Must have permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve duty officers
