Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison seeks a Researcher I to support IPARRT evaluation and grant development. You will develop evaluation plans, data collection protocols, and assist with external funding proposals within WCER and the School of Education.

The role involves attending project meetings, analyzing data, preparing reports, and contributing to dissemination of findings while supporting funded projects and program evaluation activities.

Qualifications

• Experience managing externally-funded research and demonstration projects.
• Experience obtaining external funding for research.
• Familiar with Competitive Integrated Employment, in the context of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

Responsibilities

• Attends project meetings and completes other duties as assigned to support evaluation.
• Develops data collection protocols to obtain data for the evaluation plan.
• Attends meetings with project stakeholders to identify evaluation strategies.
• Develops and submits grant applications to obtain external funding.
• Conducts data analyses on project data based on the evaluation plan and submits written reports.
• Assists in developing grant applications and proposals to secure research funding.
• Collects and analyzes basic research data, conducts experiments and interviews, and documents results according to established policies and procedures
• Assists with the development of research methodologies and procedures
• Conducts literature reviews, prepares reports and materials, and disseminates information to appropriate entities and assists with publications
• Identifies concerns and recommends solutions to leadership
• Trains individuals and groups on equipment operations, research protocols, and techniques within a specialized laboratory or research area
