Compensation Range:

Hourly: $75.00 - $75.00

Position Summary

The Part-Time Researcher for Lab Development will support a research grant. This position will play a key role in developing hands-on learning experiences using the Haiku Forge tool. It offers a blend of technical skill development and educational content creation to advance cybersecurity training methods. Responsibilities include developing cybersecurity labs and creating training materials for the Haiku Forge platform.

This position is 100% grant funded.

Essential Functions:

• Support the development of lab content aligned with certifications like CompTIA CASP+ and Network+.
• Collaborate with a learning experience designer to create lesson plans, videos, and content for the Haiku Forge Platform.
• Prepare work summaries and research reports.
• Work with researchers, faculty, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Participate in team meetings and provide progress updates.

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• Experience with online cybersecurity labs required.
• Experience creating cybersecurity labs required.
• CompTIA Security+ certification preferred.
• Experience with Haiku Cyber Range preferred.
• Available to work up to 20 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
• Own a personal computer and can facilitate online collaboration remotely.
• Reside in the U.S. and be a U.S. citizen.

Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge of DevOps, JSON, and CompTIA Certifications.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to write technical content.
• Active team participation.
