Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Researcher to join our Center for Advanced Genome Engineering (CAGE).

Missions
  • Facilitate investigator-initiated genome editing projects using CRISPR-Cas9.
  • Perform independent R&D to evaluate and develop new genome editing techniques.
  • Assist the gene and cell therapy programs at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The CAGE offers a strong team-based environment where you will work collaboratively with other investigators across the institution to support their research needs and develop and improve genome engineering technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing and implementing genome editing strategies
  • Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, and DNA/RNA extraction
  • Maintain and culture cell lines

  • Collaborate with team members and investigators
Preferred Skills

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $24.00 - $42.00 per hour for the role of Researcher- Center for Advanced Genome Engineering.
