5–10 hours/week | Mental Health & Public Health Focus

We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Research Writing Assistant to support research, content creation, intervention implementation, and administrative tasks. This part-time, remote role is ideal for someone passionate about mental health, adolescent well-being, and community-based research who thrives in a collaborative, startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature reviews across healthcare topics (e.g., mental health, behavioral science, public health)
• Support development of decks, white papers, proposals, flyers, and other written materials
• Assist with qualitative and quantitative data collection, abstraction, entry, and basic analysis
• Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Support intervention implementation and participant engagement (e.g., youth, schools, parents/caregivers, etc.)
• Help coordinate assessments, document review, and study eligibility
• Proofread and fact-check research content and citations
• Stay current on relevant research trends and share key insights with cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public health, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Prior experience as a Research Assistant or in a similar role preferred
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Proficiency in conducting online literature reviews and data analysis
• Familiarity with research design, study documentation, and data tools
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks independently
• Passion for adolescent mental health, family systems, and equity-driven research

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in mental health, psychology, or behavioral sciences
• Basic knowledge of research instruments and data formatting/cleaning
• Strong attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
