Job summary

Augusta University in Augusta, GA is seeking a Research Training Coordinator to lead education programs for the research community. You will develop training materials, ensure policy compliance, and oversee a wide range of training initiatives across campuses.

You will expand foundational courses, collaborate with subject matter experts, coordinate scheduling and logistics, and post virtual presentations while supporting IRB and research retreats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 3 years of progressively responsible research administration experience.
• Experience coordinating training classes, conferences, or seminars in an academic/research environment.
• Experience using research systems such as iLab, and learning management systems (D2L/Articulate/Percipio).
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a comprehensive four-day training program offered twice annually.
• Manage and maintain the full training schedule involving 35+ speakers.
• Oversee participant enrollment, including registration processes and attendance tracking.
• Lead expansion of the existing training into 200- and 300-level courses.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to design curricula for advanced courses.
• Develop course timelines, agendas, and content outlines for advanced programs.
• Coordinate logistics for newly developed courses, including scheduling and enrollment.
• Prepare and post virtual (online) versions of presentations.
• Coordinate institution-wide Research Town Halls and the yearly IRB Retreat.
• Develop and maintain the New Research Calendar and coordinate with IRB/Grants.
