Job summary

Seattle Neuropsychiatric Treatment Center in Seattle, WA, seeks a Research Therapist to provide protocolized experimental psychological support to research participants in approved protocols. Work independently or in a two-person team to support study visits, with attention to safety, education, and data collection.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments (SCID-5, MADRS, MINI), risk management, and coordinating with investigators.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level professional degree and training with clinical psychotherapy experience in an outpatient healthcare setting and working on an interdisciplinary team.
• WA State License - Current unrestricted professional license (to practice independently) and good professional standing.
• Psychologist (PhD, PsyD), LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW.
• Experience in clinical research settings (Preferred).
• Experience administering clinical assessments (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Function as clinical facilitator/session monitor to support study participants through clinical research protocols.
• Monitor, evaluate, and rate activities of study participants.
• Provide education about the investigational product and ensure safety during sessions.
• Assess clinical condition and communicate with investigators as needed.
• Complete mandatory trainings and regulatory tasks.
• Administer clinical assessments (SCID-5, MADRS, C-SSRS, HAM-A/HAM-D, MINI).
• Demonstrate risk assessment and crisis management.
• Maintain professional conduct adhering to research protocols.
• Coordinate with staff on scheduling research visits.
• Serve as back-up for other protocols and assist with outreach and recruitment.
• Participate in peer/group or individual consultation with SeattleNTC and sponsors.
