As a Research Tech, you will perform standard laboratory procedures with some independence, under the general supervision of a PI or Research Technician. Your contributions are vital for efficient lab operations. Every day you will execute experimental protocols, collect/record data, and maintain lab equipment. You may also perform complex procedures and provide guidance to students. To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong foundation in lab techniques, meticulous attention to detail, and work effectively independently and collaboratively. Reliability, safety adherence, and a willingness to learn are key. The Ivy Brain Tumor Center is currently recruiting a highly motivated and driven research technologist II (B.S. or M.S.) to join our preclinical team focusing on cutting edge Phase 0/II clinical trials for glioblastoma at Barrow Neurological Institute. This entry‑level role is ideal for candidates with foundational experience in molecular biology and cell‑based assays who are eager to grow their skills in a fast‑paced translational research environment. The Technologist I will work under supervision to execute established experimental protocols and support ongoing in vivo and in vitro studies. The Ivy Brain Tumor Center is a non-conventional non‑profit program offering state‑of‑the‑art clinical trials for patients with the most aggressive form of brain cancer. It is home to the largest collection of Phase 0 trials for brain tumors in the world. Our multidisciplinary team of brain tumor specialists and scientists are accelerating drug discovery and precision medicine in neuro‑oncology to identify the most promising first‑in‑class therapies for brain tumor patients.
