The Center for Diabetes Technology at the University of Virginia is seeking a Research Technician to assist with trials centering around diabetes. Shifts will be variable in time and location and may include weekend, evening, or daytime hours. Most shifts will involve patient contact. Incumbent must be able to follow HIPAA guidelines regarding patient health information and be reliable and detail oriented.
The preferred candidate should have experience with Windows and the ability to learn and troubleshoot new technology. An understanding of Android cell phones and Bluetooth technology is beneficial.
Prefer candidates who have prior experience working in a laboratory and have CPR, CITI, and Bloodborne pathogen training.
