Job summary

Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA is seeking a Research Technician II to perform laboratory procedures, collect specimens, and maintain a specimen repository. You will analyze data, prepare graphs, and assist investigators to plan and execute studies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and at least three years of research experience; experience with tissue culture and molecular longevity studies is highly desirable. This is an on-site, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's preferred.
• Minimum three years of research experience.
• Experience with tissue culture and molecular longevity studies desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize specimen repository; assist in data analysis.
• Perform moderate/high complexity tests after training; histology and special stains.
• Develop new tests in collaboration with lab directors.
• Prepare tissue specimens for research clients and interpret results.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of specimens.
• Provide training and supervision to students and visiting researchers.
• Maintain LIS proficiency and document competency.
