Works under minimal supervision to provide responsible technical assistance in performance of assignments requiring basic knowledge of techniques and practices related to particular field of science. The Research Technician will be expected to perform studies with general supervision and be expected to assist with the maintenance of the laboratory including laboratory equipment and the mouse colony. After theoretical and practical training and under the direction of the principal investigator, the Research Technician performs research involving the ongoing analysis of mouse models of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. The Research Technician assists in the molecular, biochemical, anatomical and physiological analysis under supervision and presents completed study to the principal investigator.
