Job summary

The University of Arizona is seeking a Research Technician to support biomedical research at the Asthma & Airway Disease Research Center on the Tucson Campus. The role involves hands-on lab work, genotyping, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISAs, cell and tissue culture, and data preparation for publications and grants.

A valid driver's license is required, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Valid Driver's License.
Experience using pipetting.
Experience with tissue culture and performing nucleic acid extraction.
Direct Experience in Human Subject Research.

Responsibilities

DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISAs, and primary cell or tissue culture following established procedures.
Assist with buffers, media, primers, and processing biological specimens per project protocols.
Order laboratory supplies and stock inventory; maintain notebooks; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
