Overview

The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology seeks a Research Technician II for 1 year to support translational and basic science research on thoracic malignancies. The successful candidate will work with laboratory members to perform experiments investigating novel targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and gene delivery platforms in vitro and in mice.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct experiments supporting translational and basic science research on thoracic malignancies.
  • Perform in vitro assays and in vivo (mouse) studies under supervision.
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and documentation of experimental results.
  • Maintain accurate lab notebook records and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with laboratory members to optimize experimental design and troubleshoot procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or two years of formal training related to the project, and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Benefits and Working Environment

Salary range: $38,387 - $42,587. Work hours are 40 per week. The position is located on campus and may require occasional travel as part of the role.
