The position is for a research technician in the laboratory of Dr. Valentina Perosa. The incumbent will operate in both standard and advanced biological wet lab techniques (including brain cutting, histology, and immunohistochemistry), in vivo and ex vivo imaging, image processing and data analysis, along with general laboratory tasks under supervision. The research focuses on understanding and treating cerebral small vessel disease, a leading cause of intracerebral hemorrhage, ischemic stroke, and dementia in older individuals. The ideal candidate will be thoughtful, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and motivated to be an active team member.
Job Summary
Performs a broad range of advanced research activities and procedures; evaluates results and has latitude to modify methods; supervises technical and administrative aspects of the research unit.
