Job Summary
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, scientifically curious Research Technician to work in the lab of Dr. Sean Morrison in Children’s Research Institute. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive professional who will support postdoctoral fellows with their research projects by performing genotyping of the lab’s mouse colony, general mouse work, and data analysis. This would be an excellent role for a recent college graduate who desires to gain additional years of hands-on research experience before pursuing graduate school or medical school.
Genotyping the lab’s mouse colony by performing PCR, gel electrophoresis, and other techniques. Mouse work. Stocking and ordering lab supplies. Assisting postdocs with their projects. General lab upkeep such as dishwashing, autoclaving, and keeping the lab clean. Data analysis. Other duties as assigned
