MedStar Health is seeking a motivated Research Technician to support ongoing genomic research projects focusing on diseases like Huntington's disease. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, lab experience, and strong skills in molecular biology, and will thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include conducting analyses, preparing solutions, and assisting with research design and publication efforts.
The Wheeler Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) studies human diseases that are caused by expanded microsatellite repeats, with a principal focus on Huntington's disease (HD). We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our research group to support a number of ongoing projects. Skills employed will include molecular biology, work with mice, histology and mammalian cell culture. The ideal candidate will be highly driven, thrive in fast-paced, team-based environment, have strong inter-personal skills, and exhibit excellent organizational and computational skills. Strong skills in molecular biology and/or experience with mice would be a plus.

A Research Technician II may serve as a team leader to lab assistants and Research Technician I's.
