JOB SUMMARY
Works under minimal supervision to provide responsible technical assistance in performance of assignments requiring basic knowledge of techniques and practices related to particular field of science.
This opening is for Dr. Busch's lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center https://www.utswanesthesia.org/david-r-busch/ which focus on translating diffuse optics from laboratory to clinical use. Dr. Busch's current projects primarily focus on monitoring the central nervous system in critically ill patients. The successful applicant will work within a multidisciplinary (physics, engineering, anesthesiology, critical care specialist, neurosurgery, neurology) team to develop, test, clinical translate, and validate non and minimally invasive diffuse optical tools. Personnel development focus of this lab and the successful applicant will have opportunities for mentorship and skill development, e.g., in preparation for graduate school.
